Carol Ibex, Founder Foundations Island Yoga Studio
As a single mother I remember how hard it was to get to class after having my son. I also remember how much I needed it. I realized that if I took just a little time for myself I could come back to my job as a parent stronger and more confident; I had a better relationship with my son and things just seemed to work smoother. I absolutely love this program that we have at the studio. Not only are the children being cared for, they are learning techniques that they can utilize throughout their life to help give them the power to control their emotions and uplift any negativity. I love that after class I can talk to my son about his class, and share with him what I learned in mine. It's become a bonding experience, even though we are in different rooms. I love the future of the studio and the different programs that we have here. Teachers |

Maya Rose has joined Foundations Island Yoga to work with the Little Oms childcare. She believes that the imagination is something to be embraced and encouraged and would like to help make Little Oms a place where growing children can express themselves in a positive way. Maya Rose hopes to teach younger generations, through yoga and other exercises, that there is no end to what can be learned and that by being kind and loving to others, you are one step closer to making the world a better place.
Claire Mack is a wonderful new addition to our Little Oms team, and is quite the blossoming yogini! Her easy going nature and caring energy makes each time connecting with Claire such a pleasure! In her own words, enjoy Claire's introduction to our Little Om's community!
"My name is Claire Mack and I am seventeen years old and from Stevensville, Maryland! I have been working in childcare and few years now and genuinely enjoy it. I can work with all ages and can't wait to meet the new friendly faces!" Kelly Michele
"I enjoy working with children and I am passionate about creating an environment in which children feel inspired to explore yoga, & their own natural creativity through art and music. Supporting the emotional intelligence of each child is of the upmost importance in our Little Om's classes, where the individuality of every child, as well as their unique learning style is deeply honored. I feel so grateful to be part of a project where we are helping kids learn skills to help to fortify their self-esteem and connect them to their center." |
